I’m posting up a few cards that I made last month when the sun was shining and I was feeling summery! Well here we are with colder days, darker evenings and more of that to come so here’s me clinging on to a little bit of brightness with some lovely warm pastel shades.
I made all these cards using elements from the Geometric Neon Ultimate Die Cut and Paper Pack from docrafts, which came out earlier this year, in combination with my Stampin’ Up Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set and a good permanent black ink.
These little pockets that come in the ultimate packs are good gift card holders, but you can also stick them on the front of cards with a little message popping out! The bows also come in the ultimate pack – you just press them out and put them together. You can glue them or secure with a brad. They do stick out on the front of the card so no good for posting but fine if you’re giving your card in person!
For this one I added a few strips of the washi tape that came with my Stampin’ Up Project Life accessory pack, since it was on the desk. I know the black is rather bold against the pastel but I like something a bit different now and again! The embellishments (wooden arrows and gems) are also from the Geometric Neon range. They are a bit pricey at RRP £4 per pack but they are lovely quality and add a real luxury feel to your cards.
For this one I used vellum on the background then a couple of squares of paper on top before adding the stamped tag and gold bow. It’s nice to have some different textures on a card. You can’t see the vellum effect so well in the pic but in person it’s very pretty and translucent, and the gold foiling detail is so pretty!
Finally for this one I layered up a few different strips in the middle with some triangle embellishments top right. This has been one of my fave ranges to craft with this year because all the colours go together so perfectly and really pop!
