Geometric Neon cards

Hi everyone, this week I have been crafting with the Geometric Neon range from docrafts. I’ve mainly been using the Ultimate Die-cut and Paper Pack as there’s soooo much in there. You get lots of lovely papers, toppers, vellum, alphabet stickers and even little boxes and pockets to put together. Whenever I like the look of a new range and I’m not sure what to get my default option is the Ultimate packs as you get such a good selection in there for a good price.

Firstly I made two quite simple but modern looking cards.

For this one I went for a simple design, stapling the large banner at the top and adding a little gold glitter tape to lift the design. I love banners on cards – they always seem to come out well when I stick banners in there somewhere!

On this card I glued a panel of vellum paper centrally over the background paper and then taped down the opposite sides with glitter tape. I added a sentiment topper and then a punched heart and wooden arrow, plus some gems in the opposite corners of the vellum. I love these little wooden arrows – they are from the Geometric Neon embellishment pack, which has loads of great little pieces in it.

Finally, for this card I wanted to have a go at a basic shaker card – something quick and not too elaborate. I began by sticking the background paper down on the card blank, lining the edges with strips of double sided tape, placing a scattering of sequins across, then adding a square of teardrop patterned vellum on top. It’s not a perfect shaker mechanism as the sequins can get stuck at the edges, but if you’re after a speedy way to do it then this creates a nice effect and is something a little different! To finish it off I added a simple circle topper from the Geometric Mono range, a die cut ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from kraft card (Paper Smooches die) and a strip of bright craft tape along the bottom.

Love all these modern, bright cards! I love banners too, very effective. The shaker card idea is great, might try it! Xx

Thank you! And yes, do give it a go – it’s a really easy to do with vellum and double sided tape and the effect looks better in person that it does in the pic :) x
