Mirabelle cards and tag

Hello lovely visitors! This evening I am posting about the new Santoro Mirabelle collection from Trimcraft. I first bought this range last year when it came out and now it’s here again with new images – new papers, decoupage, stamps etc. I like this range because it’s easy to create shabby chic style cards with a whimsical feel.

So, starting with some good news – I am the winner of Trimcraft’s April tag challenge! Here’s the tag I made and a little tutorial.

Mirabelle tag by StickerKitten

1. First I cut a tag shape from Mirabelle linen textured paper from the 12×12 paper pack and inked the edges with brown dye in. I then cut a smaller tag shape from glitter paper, distressed and inked the edges and added it to the tag. I stamped the hanging flowers at the top in black and then made a hole to thread through twine and crochet lace.

2. Next I matted a glitter sticker to blue paper, inked the edges and glued it to the right hand side of the tag. I added decoupage flowers above and below with foam squares.

3. To make the sentiment I stamped the Santoro stamp on to blue paper, covered the text with polka dot paper and then stamped and cut out the ‘just for you’ sentiment to add on top. I attached the sentiment with foam squares and added a punched scalloped circle cut in two (and inked) to the bottom left and top right.

4. I added three gems below the sentiment and three at the top of the sticker to finish.

I believe they are sending me some crafty goodies as a prize ^_^

I’ve also been making a few cards
