Hi everyone, yesterday I went to the annual Artstamps stamp and papercraft craft fair at Newbury Racecourse. It was a smaller event than normal due to the management team letting down the organiser and vendors not being able to make it, but I still had a fantastic day and spent hours wandering round the stalls!
One of my favourite stands was Anna Marie’s – she had a beautiful range of laser cut wooden shapes and gorgeous cards on display.
You can follow Anna Marie on Facebook too for further updates.
There was also a lovely chap called the MDF man selling wooden shapes for very reasonable prices, so I bought quite a few!
When I get round to decoupaging these I’ll post some pics for you. The MDF man showed me a really easy method that gives a really professional finish, and it was so quick to do! He basically smeared the MDF blank in PVA glue making sure to go right to the edges, stuck it face down on the paper (he used Graphic 45), cut round it with a craft knife, and sanded down the edges. It took seconds and looked just like the image had been printed on the wood. He gave me the sample along with my purchases, so here I am looking pleased about the whole thing.
I bought quite a few bits and pieces at the fair – mostly supplies like card blanks, white card etc. – but I couldn’t resist these beautiful new stamps from Lili of the Valley. They are tiny recipes!! How awesome is that?!
I can’t wait to get started with them – just imagine all the cute things you can make! Tiny recipe gift tags, card backgrounds, mini recipes for the kitchen, a little recipe book!
And finally, I couldn’t resist a few quick pics of all the lovely new docrafts ranges out this month.
Here’s the new botanicals range. You’ll be seeing lots of botanicals cards from me coming up soon! I especially love those alphabet stickers. Also out is the new create christmas range with lots of lovely wooden shapes to decorate and plenty of stamps and embellishments.
Look at those super cute tiny bottles!
