Hi all! Today I’m writing about the new Santoro Kori Kumi range that has just been released from Craft Consortium. There are some fab new items in the range – papers, stamps, buttons, wooden shapes, pom poms, bunting – but instead of telling you, let me show you! Here’s my vid going through all the yummy new items one by one so you can see what comes in the range.
I have been super busy this week preparing for an interview at work so I haven’t had as much of a chance to play with the range as I’d like but I have put together a few simple cards.
For this card I used the apple stamp to create a bold background then layered a strip of green raffia and leaf ribbons on top. I die cut a few flower shapes from red paper and layered them up with foam squares, adding enamel dots to the centre for embellishment. I pressed out the image of the girl from one of the decoupage sheets and added her to the card, along with a stamped ‘blowing kisses’ sentiment and a little enamel heart.
For this card I went for a little more of a shabby chic feel with the heart doily, though it’s still quite a modern style card because of the bright colours. Again I’ve used layered flowers built up with the excellent floral die set and I’ve also added an embossed background using the heart embossing folder that comes in the range. I cut out the apple branch from one of the papers and then pressed out the girl and her apples from one of the decoupage sheets and layered her onto the card.
This card uses the gorgeous cloud and dandelion background papers from the 8×8 paper pack along with the girl and bunny on the bike from the decoupage pack. I cut up one of the pom poms from the box and added it to the baskets on the bike to look like real fluffy bits of blossom! The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up and I layered it onto a heart embossed background, adding a raffia bow and some enamel dots (I love them!) to finish off.
This one I’m not so happy with as it went a bit wrong (I was stamping on an uneven surface which is why it looks so bad!) but I didn’t want to get rid of it or start again so I added a bit of raffia and some cute apple buttons to brighten it up.
I’ll be putting together some more pretty makes soon so look out for more from me using this range.
