Hi everyone, today I’m posting up a few Stampin’ Up Birthday Fiesta cards I’ve made – I love this range of bright papers and the amazing llama stamp! The collection also has a matching Fiesta Time Framelits die set which has little banners that you can stamp on too.
For this card I went for a bright background paper from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper pack. The colours in the paper pack are Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White, but I decided to stamp my llama in Bermuda Bay and I think he matches really well. I stamped the cactus in Delightful Dijon which also goes well too as it’s pretty similar to Crushed Curry.
I stamped and die cut lots of llamas and cacti at once so they’re the same colour on this card, and this time I also added the birthday sentiment that comes in the stamp set. I did the text in Pear Pizzazz and the decorative flower elements in Mint Macaron.
I’m not as pleased with this card as I stamped the sentiment too close to the other one so had to cut it out in a bit of an odd way, but I’ve posted it here anyway because the paper is just so cute! Look at those little piñatas and chillies and everything – it’s adorable! I also don’t like the star gems I put on there so I think I’d replace them with brads or something if I did this design again.
This card came out a lot nicer. I layered up two different papers in the background and then added a strip of washi tape and a thin banner across the centre. I added my llama, stamped in Tip Top Taupe this time, and a cactus, attached with foam squares, and then adhered a stamped banner across the top right corner, cut into two sections. I really like this craft collection and think I’ll be doing a lot more Stampin’ Up Birthday Fiesta cards! Especially as there’s a Christmas llama stamp out now!
