Hi everyone! Today I spent a lovely afternoon with my friend making cards with all our new Stampin’ Up goodies! I wanted to test out my Watercolour Wash background stamp first so I stamped three cards with mint macaron ink. I also used the Silhouettes & Script hostess stamp set to create the sentiments.
For this one I wanted to create something similar to the pretty card I’d seen in the catalogue. I glued down a circle of twine and then stamped the peach in calypso coral ink (and the leaf in mint macaron) and then attached it over the twine with foam squares. I stamped ‘thanks’ with old olive ink and again attached with foam squares. I added sequins for a sparkly finish!
For this quirky congrats card I used the same technique as the first card, inking the stamp in both calypso coral and mint macaron to create the ombre effect.
I borrowed Becky’s build-a-bird punch to make this card and stamped the sunshine in delightful dijon ink.
I also stamped a couple of cards in tip top taupe ink but it looked a bit darker than I wanted (I was hoping for quite a light subtle colour) so I decided it would make a better background for dinosaurs instead. I stamped them with the No Bones About It set which has cool dino outlines and skeletons that you can combine for like a little x-ray dinosaur effect!
And then for my last two cards I used the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set which comes with lots of lovely birthday sentiments and a little cake stamps, plus the dots which look quite like sparkles. I cut the circles from white card with the Xcut circle dies set and stamped them with the different designs in wisteria wonder, blackberry bliss and delightful dijon inks.
On the last card I added two strips of glitter tape (from the docrafts Forever Friends Classic Decadence range) for a bit of extra bling!
