Strawberry Tea at The Mulberry Bush

Hi everyone, today I have been on another crafty outing to the Strawberry Tea Party hosted by The Mulberry Bush craft shop in Thatcham, in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Me and my mum arrived at the shop and were greeted with big smiles and an offer of tea and cake in exchange for a donation to Breast Cancer Care.

Biscuits and strawberries

Cupcakes!

The cupcakes were delicious and iced expertly with buttercream frosting, with, of course, a strawberry on top. We wandered around the shop and enjoyed our tea and cakes, admiring the strawberry-themed decor. I could see a lot of preparation had gone into the event!

As a bonus, all the sale items in the shop were reduced to half price.

The shop was looking lovely, as usual, with lots of tempting craft things on display.

Here are the new Papermania Botanicals and Christmas ranges all set out nicely in baskets, and below a lovely demo card made with the Heritage Press range. It’s such an awesome use of the suit stamps – it has inspired me to get my set out!

Outside there was also a bead sale by Julie’s Gems.

Where of course I bought lots of pretty beads (can’t resist shiny things).

Tiny star beads

Look at these super cute tiny stars! I also bought a few other bits and pieces from the shop: some pretty 12×12 paper that I can cut the circles from, some tiny cute blue gems, 2 sheets of tropical stickers (in sale!), a wooden heart to decorate and some pretty rose decoupage.

And to top it all off I won third prize in the raffle, so now have these delicious-looking cake pops from Popadoodledoo to cram into my mouth shortly ^_^
