Birthday Dinos Valentine’s CardsFebruary 13, 2017 |
Hi everyone, today I’m posting up a few cute Birthday Dinos Valentine’s cards that I’ve made with my Birthday Dinos range. My favourite new thing is still the resin buttons that James has been making, and I like to put them front and centre of the cards to show them off!
So for this simple design I covered the front of a square card blank with brown spotty paper and then attached a white scalloped heart using foam squares. I die cut the heart with my Cricut Expolore Air 2 which comes with some nice free heart shape designs. I glued the little purple triceratops button on with tacky glue (it doesn’t need anything more substantial than that to make it stick) and added a turquoise bow. The ribbon is Stampin’ Up stitched ribbon in Bermuda Bay. James did the calligraphy sentiment which I cut into a square shape and attached with foam squares.
This card uses the same simple design, but I chose orange striped paper from the Birthday Dinos pack and went for a heart with smooth edges for the little green t-rex button.
Finally for this card I stamped the stegosaurus and diplodocus from the Birthday Dinos stamp set on to kraft card in black ink and cut out. I put them facing each other on an A6 card with a strip of Birthday Dinos polka dot paper down the centre and then hand cut a little orange heart to go between them. Again James did the calligraphy sentiment for me. I had good fun researching dinosaur puns to use!
