Closet of KindnessOne of the great things to come out of 2020 is definitely the sense of community, and the crafting world have been working hard to make sure everyone stays inspired and crafting during this crazy time. Something I have been enjoying a lot is LIVE Craft with me videos on YouTube.
On a Sunday evening each week I craft & chat live on my Youtube channel, this week after watching a live by another wonderful crafter Kristiannes Crafty Creations, I was totally inspired to make the Closet of Kindness and knew just the collection to use! The idea behind this super cute closet, is to fill it with goodies and send to a friend. With the Succulent collection in mind, off I went in search of the perfect uplifting plant pun and this is what I came up with…
You can watch the live replay for a step by step guide to put together this fun gift for a friend, or even to keep and display in your room. Its super simple and requires only 2 sheets of 12×12 paper for the basic closet box. I decorated mine using the 6×6 Succulent paper pad, a vellum shaker and a bunch of the adorable plants from the Sticker Kitten collection.
This project is totally customisable, change out the vellum shaker for a clear acetate piece so that you get a peek at the goodies inside when you open the doors, or add a little note for the reciever, in place of the normal birthday/holiday card. You can add as many shelves as you like inside, or even switch them out for a paper straw to create a ‘rail’, then fill it with all sorts of goodies for the recipient. Imagine a Christmas themed closet full of delicious home baked cookies! Yum! Or a birthday themed closet, with a rail full of hanging embellishments for your crafty friend to use! The possibilities are endless.
If you decide to give this project a go, make sure to tag me and #phaclosetofkindess. I cannot wait to see your variations of this fun gift box!
