Just Bee-cause: Bee Garden Hexagon Flower CardHello and Welcome – Samantha here sharing a card I made using the StickerKitten Bee Garden Collection. It’s always made sense to partner bees up with hexagons. I decided to get a little creative with my hexagon dies and create a flower – I’ve used hexagons before to create hearts and other geometric patterns. I was quite happy how easy the flower shape took place – I wonder how many other shapes you could create with a hexagon die?
Hope you enjoy this card and photo tutorial.
Step 1: Using yellow flower pattern paper from the Bee Garden pack die-cut 6 hexagons using a small Hexagon die.
Step 2: Using green pattern paper die-cut another small hexagon and then die cut a slightly larger hexagon using green cardstock. Cut both hexagons in half.
Cut out a thin strip for the flower stem.
Step 5: Assemble the hexagon flower on to a kraft card front. Add the ephemera bees and sentiment.
Step 6: Die cut a few more small hexagons – cut these in half and adhere to the bottom of your card front as shown below. Trim any excess card off.
Aside from the hexagon die and cardstock – all the pattern paper came from the Bee Garden Collection – it makes choosing a colour scheme super easy!
Hope you enjoyed my card tutorial for today! Have a play and see what other shapes you can create with a hexagon die and the Bee Garden Collection.
Happy Crafting!
