Penguins and Presents Christmas Cardsby StickerKittenJuly 24, 2018 |

Hi crafters! Today I am sharing some Penguins and Presents Christmas Cards that I put together for Papercraft Essentials magazine last year. It was the first time I had done such a big magazine project using my own ranges and I was so thrilled to be featured!

The brief was very open so I could do any style of cards I wanted. I did a mix of different styles and folds, and also included some heat embossing because I wanted to show off the new penguin stamps! Here’s how to make each of these projects.

DL KRAFT CARD

Instructions

1 Cut a strip of 15x5cm tree paper and adhere to the left of the card blank.
2 Cut a 9.5×5.5cm piece of red snowflake paper and snip a triangle from the bottom to make a banner. Attach to the card and add a 12cm long strip of polka dot paper on top cut at an angle.
3 Attach a wooden penguin and two presents with 3D foam pads.
4 Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment on to the back of one of the papers (to get the matching shade of white as the background paper), cut out, and attach to the card with foam pads.

Time: 15 minutes

‘LET IT SNOW’ STAR APERTURE CARD

Instructions

1 Trim an 11.5cm square panel of black cardstock and stamp all over with the Penguins and Presents star background stamp in black pigment ink. Sprinkle over clear embossing powder, heat emboss, and adhere the panel to the card.
2 Die cut a star aperture in a 10.8cm square panel of kraft cardstock and adhere to the card with 3D foam pads.
3 Heat emboss a penguin, hat, scarf and sentiment in gold. Cut out and assemble the pieces and glue to the card. Finish with three wooden snowflake embellishments.
