My second card is using the same leaf stamps, only this time I stamped in black on a bright background. I started by taking a piece of watercolour card and selected Distress Inks in various Autumn colours. I put the inks on my glass mat and spritzed with water. I then pressed the card into the ink. I lifted it up and left it to dry, then added another layer in the same way, using water to move think ink around where needed. This background is made from several layers of inks. The key is to make sure you let the ink dry each time before adding your next layer. Once I was happy with the background I stamped the leaves in black ink. They are not so close together this time and I stamped in more of a pattern. Again the stamp positioning tool will help to get a nice crisp impression of the image by stamping a couple of times. Especially as this is watercolour card and it has texture. To complete the card I stamped the sentiment. I used a stamping block and only one layer of ink as I wanted the words to be more subtle.
