StickerKitten Christmas 2017 range – Dala HorseHi everyone, hope you have had a good weekend! On Saturday morning I ran an exclusive Dala Horse workshop at The Mulberry Bush in Thatcham to give the ladies a taster of our new StickerKitten Christmas 2017 range – Dala Horse – which will be launching on 3rd September 2017 on Hochanda and here on the StickerKitten website. Very exciting! James and I have been working hard over the past few weeks packaging all the papers and embellishments and I have been sharing a few sneak peeks on my social media channels. There’ll be more to come over the next two weeks leading up to launch day.
In the workshop we made two cards using the new Dala Horse designer paper pack and stamps – a Z fold card and a simple aperture card.
We had a lovely morning crafting (once we’d all got to grips with which way round to stick our panels on to the Z fold card!) and we had tea, coffee and cake to keep us going. If you’d like to have a go at a Z fold card have a look at my short six and a half minute YouTube tutorial
The cards look very fancy but are straightforward to make, starting off with just an A4 piece of card. For the aperture card I used my Stampin’ Up 2 inch circle punch to make the aperture and this makes for very quick crafting if you’re doing your Christmas cards in batches. We used twine to hang a little mini Dala Horse wooden bauble and horse embellishment in the aperture! They are lovely little embellishments and I’m so excited about launching them to everyone on 3rd September.
So, here are the sneak peeks of our embellishments that we have shared so far on Instagram, Twitter and our Facebook page. We have two designs of wooden embellishments – one pack of Dala Horses and one pack of mini Dala Horses and baubles. They can be painted and inked or just used plain. They are even just the right size to make jewellery with – think of tiny little Dala Horse earrings and a bauble pendant necklace! So cute.
I hope you love them as much as I do! I’ve got so many ideas on how to use them and I hope to share lots of project with you before and after our Hochanda launch. We’ve also been sharing pics of our new sequin embellishments – there’s a sparkly sequin pack and a pretty pack of sequin trim. Did I tell you how hard sequins are to photograph? They are so super sparkly!
I can think of so many ideas for the sequin trim too! Accessorising tags, mini garlands across cards, sewing on to felt Christmas decorations… Suddenly I have lots of projects to get on with ^_^
