Tutorial
To the moon and back clean and simple cardby katrinalhoweSeptember 19, 2020 |

To start my card I die cut an A6 sized panel of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die and then die cut a circle from the top half of the panel using a circle die.

Next I made the frame. I took the same circle die I used to cut the panel and also the next size up circle die from the same nesting circle die set. I used a set from Time for Tea Designs. I lay them one inside the other, placed them on a piece of white cardstock and run through my die cutting machine. I used the Wow embossing pad to coat the frame and covered it in metallic platinum embossing powder and melted this with my heat gun. I coated and embossed three times. This gives the frame a full coverage and a nice melted metal look.

I used a piece of paper from the Sticker Kitten Celestial paper pack and heat embossed the sentiment from the Celestial stamp set using the same embossing powder used to create the frame. I then cut the paper and layered it behind my window panel. I adhered the metallic frame on top using liquid glue.

Next I coloured the rocket image. This is from the Space Dogs stamp set. I stamped it on to Copic friendly smooth white cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with my Copic markers. I then added a little more shading with my Polychromos coloured pencils. I adhered this to my panel with foam pads to add some extra dimension.

To finish the card I stamped the stars using Altenew Antique Gold pigment ink and adhered my panel to my a pre folded card base.
